When I started Green Room Music Studios in 2010, my dream was to create a space for professional music teachers to pass their craft on to eager students. And while there are several music studios in the Santa Clarita and Newhall area, there are some very big differences in how Green Room Music Studios runs. I want to share with you what I think makes us so unique.
You pick the teacher
We like to put our students in direct contact with a teacher of their choosing. Other studios just assign you to a teacher who either fits your time requirements or who has the least amount of students. This does not seem like a very good way to get the right teacher for you. On our website you’re able to look at teacher profiles and either pick a teacher yourself or contact us for recommendations based on your experience level, learning style, gender preference, and personality. You’re encouraged to try multiple teachers to find the right one for you!
Flexibility and Availability of Teachers
Our teachers are not employees. We all share the studio giving us flexibility to talk to students on our own. Students can call or text a teacher’s cell phone if they have questions or schedule conflicts instead of going through someone sitting at a desk telling teachers what to do. This allows us to be open any time day or night to fit each student’s schedule.
We offer more than just music
Because our facility is big enough, many students take multiple types of lesson throughout the week. Many teachers offer discounts if you take lessons of a different kind with another teacher at our location. Students can come to one place to take voice, piano, tap, and acting, while still receiving top professional training in each.
We really do put the student first
I hear this all the time from clients. Our teachers genuinely care about our students and do everything we can to help them reach their goals. Getting into the music, acting, or dance field can be difficult, but our teachers go above and beyond to make sure their students are prepared and present their best so they can succeed.
A Warm and Inviting Location
If you have been to other studios you will probably notice that their studios are very small, usually dark, grey, with maybe a poster of some creepy band as decor. We truly believe that a creative space helps people to be the most creative. We work hard to make the studio feel as warm and inviting as possible. We want you to feel as comfortable as you would taking lessons in your living room.
